Washtenaw Community College announced it has launched a Tech Ecosystem Development Pilot Project, aimed at fostering innovation and empowering local entrepreneurs.
This collaborative initiative, funded and supported by the Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti SmartZone Local Development Finance Authority (LDFA), Ann Arbor SPARK and the Entrepreneurship Center at WCC , marks a significant milestone in the commitment to build a robust, inclusive tech ecosystem in Washtenaw County.
The Tech Ecosystem Development Pilot Project is designed to provide essential resources, mentorship and networking opportunities to early-stage tech founders in the community. By offering access to experienced mentors, strategic support for technical development and financial planning and opportunities to connect with academic and business leaders, the project aims to equip entrepreneurs with the tools they need to succeed.
Participants will embark on a transformative 12-week boot camp beginning the week of July 15 that blends evening in-person and online sessions. The immersive program will offer $10,000 in funding for each participating business, facilitate invaluable insights from industry experts and create a supportive entrepreneurial network.
